I just opened my CF-01 (thanks busdepot!!) and when I turned it on there is a bright area in the screen center that makes the dialog boxes appear more like almost white than the gray as normal. Let me know if anyone else seeing this??? Any ideas on how to fix this?

There could have been some pressure on the middle that did that.
I know when you press on LCD's they become "whiter." I never have pushed long enough to see if the brightness effect stays though.

I haven't had time to even open my unit from busdepot but my first one had perfect screen UNTILL!!!!!!............. I did something stupid.

Things to think about or to avoid when using CF-01, mounted in stand, while reclined....

First off the blemish is very small but really bugs me. I was semi-reclined using one of those lap "desk" (the board with bean bag under surface). To get best angle I tilted the "desk" towards me. As I was clicking on vertical slider bar at bottom right of IE window the CF-01 suddenly tipped forward and crashed into my stylus.

It left a mark <1mm long and only about 0.25 mm wide right where the pointer shows up when you are using the vertical scroll bar. When screen is on with light background it looks like a small black mark. When unit is off or screen off it look like a tiny flake of light dander (dead skin flake) Viewed under magnification it appears to be between layers, under top most layer, of course, but not all the way through the depth of screen. It appears solid and is light in color.

Solution for that context..... I put enough velcro on bottom of charging stand and lap board to keep it from slamming forward when it is tilted too far. (I think the instructions mention something about this being a potential)

BooHoo my perfect screen is blemished.
