CF-01 as a Picture Frame.

One thing that I wanted to do with the CF-01 is make it a Digital Picture frame with Rotating Images when it was on the Charger.

Here is a Free screen saver application that can be configured to look at a Directory and Randomly scroll through images in the directory and recursively as well.

http://www.midnightblue.com/jpgsaver.htm

It seems pretty effective. Has anyone else found anything better?

On a related note,

Does anyone see a downside to having the CF-01 constantly 'in use' as a Picture frame?

Will it use a lot of Juice? Do I need to be concerned for it overHeating?

Thanks.
CARLO.

^^^^^^^

No One uses thier Cf-01 as a Digital Picture Frame? It has a HUGE harddrive that could Cycle TONS of photos. I have actually considered using the docking station to Drive a Larger monitor since to beef up the resolution. Any Comments at all? :)

I have seen the CF used as a picture frame and I don't think its power consumption is something to worry about, but I would set it up to turn off the LCD after a period and a simple tap of the screen would wake it up.

I plug mine into the docking station when I get to work and it stays on all day and haven't had any overheating problems. But I turn it off at night to increase the lifespan of the LCD.
