I was playing around with a couple of software programs and I stupidly deleted pen services from the "add/remove programs" area. now I do not have any pen support.
What do I have to do to get it back. I thought I could just go back and recheck the box but the box is no longer there. i just got yhis unit and have not made backups yet.

As long as you have a keyboard and mouse this should not be a big deal. Scroll back to the first page of this board and find the thread called "Background". It has the link to the Panasonic site with Pen services. Download it to a floppy, then just run the program. If I remember correctly that was all there was to it, though it is possible you will have to go into the "Add components to windows" part of add change programs and add it again.

I lost Pen Services when I did a clean install of Win98SE. Though I did have the files available, it wasn't obvious to me how to install them again as there is no Setup.exe file. Groch you pointed the way, thanks! A click on the "Have Disk" button under Windows Setup, and a pointer to the A: drive, was all it took to get everything installed, including the cpl and the shortcuts in the Start menu, as well as the appearance of PS as a checkable option in the Win Setup area. I don't think I've ever done this before...

And now that I think of it, I understand you can right-click-"install" the INF file also. Will probably get around to trying this also as I continue to re-orient my CF-01 to Win98.

Funny how some things which are so obvious in retrospect, will stump you at the time.

...and "thank you" to everyone who resisted following-up my post with a RTFM. Today I noticed that the Pen Services and Utility install instrs are there in the Panasonic user guide (finally got around to reading it).
