Hi All,

I bought a Netier thin client from computer-shop.com and I have a toshiba 4.3GB 2.5" Hard Disk Model #MK4313MAT but the problem i'm having is that the netier doesn't recognize the HD. I tested the HD with my pc (with the adapter) and it works. I also tested the 44 cable and it's ok.

Do I need an special hard drive so netier will recognize it?
Do I need a different bios so it will recognize it?

Thank You

Have you entered the bios to disable the Disk-on-Chip? Also select the "ide hdd auto detection" and set the mode you need. The exit and save the settings.

I was able to get the Netier to recognize my laptop hd with or without the Disk On Chip enable by fiddling with the bios. To boot from the DOC and still be able to see the HD, you need to disable "ide hdd auto detection" but make sure the onboard ide controllers are enable. I think this is what I have now.

makehell & sniff,

I took a close look at the bios and found that the option for the ide channels were disable.

It's working now, thank you for your help.
