I'd like to adapt the version of midori linux I developed for the IA-1 to the netier thin client, but I need a way to flash the doc. With pxe server from storagesoft it's very easy to load a boot disk over the network. However, I don't have a boot disk that can mount network filesystems. Does anyone have something like this?
i have run into a trouble with midiori linux too is that it had problem booting into os ,it seems tobe that it wont find the root=/dev/nftla1 even i recompiled the kernel to support m doc
and you talking about nfs boot? you need the kernel compiled for nfs client support and configure the boot image to tell it to boot off the nfs root the config are usually found in /etc
you might check out the nfs rootboot howto at linux docmention project
I haven't really gotten to that part yet. I just need to reflash the doc with my own image. It seems that some of you must be using network boot floppies to reflash, so I thought maybe someone would share their floppy image or what they did to make the floppy. I don't have any 95 based machines, so I can't make a dos floppy.
