Netier IRQ conflict
Conflict between Via bus master IDE and Video Card

New MessageNetier IRQ conflict (modified 0 times) hod1

I have installed Windows 98 SE using the drivers provided by Wyse for the video card, NIC, and soundcard. Device manager is showing a conflict between the IDE driver and the display card. I believe they are both trying to use IRQ 15. Has anyone run into this and found a solution? This is the hardware that is built into the motherboard so there has to be a way to make them play together nice.

Thanks

Hod1 : I think you have to disable the secondary ide in the bios setup to resolve the conflict.

I already had the second Ide disabled and that did not work. I did get it to work however, I changed the bios PnP settings to manual and marked IRQ 15 as legacy. That forced the video card and IDE controller to select alternate settings and they do not conflict. I also disabled the DOC to remove the compatability mode problem. My DOC is only 16meg anyway so no great loss.
