48mb DOC on Netier XL 1000?

I just received my netier from an ebay auction. Looked at the doc using fdisk from another booted hard drive and it said 47mb. Looked at the DiskOnChip and it has a part number of MD2200-D48. I thought the XL 1000 Netier's came with 72mb DOC's. Did someone play the old switcher ru on me or did they sell that way? 48mb is kind of useless. I guess it is ok since I'm going to be using a 2GB laptop drive anyway.

Vegsoft: I've seen the XL-1000's being sold with either a 48MB or 72MB DOC. Someone may have switched the DOC, but it is not likely. The 48MB DOC is still useful. There is a 98Lite distribution for the Webplayer that fits on the DOC. There is no reason that you couldn't put 98Lite on your DOC. If you decide to use a hard drive, be sure to disable the DOC. The DOC (real mode) driver messes up the ACPI functionality (sleep, shutdown, etc.).
