Dell e200 Thin Client?

Anybody have any info on the Dell e200? http://docs.us.dell.com/docs/systems/e200/index.htm

Basically a Win CE based thin client that supports Citrix or MS RDP.

Just got one off eBay and would like to hack it a little. Was able to get it to Access my XP desk box via RDP pretty easy, but I would like to at least figure out how to install some drivers on it for a wireless NIC (It has USB and a PC card slot)

Also, any hacks to get XP Pro to support a RDP client without logging out the main user?

Any help appreciated!

How big is that installation of Win Ce? Your dell has really similar specs to the Webplayer. It would be worth a try to put that Ce image on the webplayer DOC.

It seems e200 is rebranded winterm from wyse, should be 2000 or 3000 series of wyse winterm

I have one wyse winterm with GXL cpu , by comparing(quick view) from dell website , it has the same power brick with winterm, and the model looks the same.

I suspected it was a Wyse with a Dell label on it. Any way to add a driver to the image?

The latest .Bin file I installed to it was about 12 MBS.

I was very surprised to stumble on your posts about the Dell and Wyse thin (very thin) clients. I have one of these boxes. It sez it is a Compaq t1010 EVO thin client. I have never powered it up since I have no power supply. It sez it uses +5v but I don't have a clue to the pin-out of the four pin plug. I took it apart. It is based on the god-forsaken AMD elan cpu chip. Basically, that is a 486 SX revved to 233 or 266 mHz. Mine looks like 32 meg of ram 16 meg of flash. There is a mini-pci slot (empty) and a standard pcmcia slot (also empty.) If you can provide a pin-out of your power supply, I would be grateful. I don't see a good way to add a hard-drive. Compact flash in the pc card slot could make it go. I would love to bring this thing to life to see if the cpu is all that it is rumoired NOT to be.

Thanks for the help with the power supply. I will make an adapter for my Virgin Webplayer's brick tonight, if I get a chance. The Dell site is far moe detailed than the Wyse and Compaq web-info I had already checked. The back of my unit is identical to the Dell's EXCEPT for the USB port. I no-have. But, it will be fun to play with. Did I understand someone might attempt a port of the WinCE from these clients to the Webplayer's DoC? Even tho I am blessed (cursed?) with an AMD processor, all the support chips in the box are National Semi's very similar to the Webplayer. It could work.
