Hello Diablo,
I just did this, I ordered a CDROM adapter kit for the T2000 (even though it is for a T-2000 it is identical to the SL2000). Worked like a charm all you need is a slimline cdrom.

This is also a great site to get drivers for this unit if you are going to use Windows.

Follow this link:

http://216.36.236.148/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=E&Product_Code=T2CDMNTKIT&Category_Code=MPS2

if this link doesn't work go to http://emulatorshop.com and look for the T-2000 CDrom mounting kit.

What OS are you planning to use?
Currently I have RedHat 9 running on mine, eventually I would like to create a small distro of linux to run off the DOC.
I would like for it to play MP3 and CD audio and put it in my car.
I'm a newbie to linux so this might take a while to do. I have heard of some people on the BBS who have put on Midori, but I can't find any instructions on how to do this.

thanks and good luck.

Hello ChillyWilly,

Thanks alot, that will help me with my mp3 jukebox project for my car

I will be running ms-dos with a free mp3 player program called Mpxplay its website is
http://mpxplay.cjb.net/

The computer will be a netier sl2000 w/ a amd 266 mhz processor, a 6 gb harddrive and a serial crystalfontz lcd since mpxplay supports lcd output.

I still need to figure out a way of input so I don't need a keyboard.
I may map the controls to keypad or heavily modify a keyboard if I cannot find another way.

Thanks again,

Diablo

I tried the mpxplay with mpxf on a desktop system a couple of months ago and I believe you can use a numeric keypad to navigate the program.

Best of luck
