hay gents .. I am krunktified.. I was able to copy a astlinux.org image to a 32m cf using the methods on http://pfsense.com and plug it into my netvista 2200 without any modification. What did I do? I changed a bios setting where it selects the firmware to boot.. I chose something other than the netstation and it came up with a regular IBM boot menu just like their workstations.. after I plugged in my cf into the built in slot it shows just like a hdd.. I went in and made some minor adjustments, saved and bingo.. I tried booting the pfsense cf image but it locks after it goes through the initial boot. I guess it is trying to detect the processor..
my bios date is 10081999
Flash eprom Rev NZAA0DAUS
Machine Type/Mod 8364NUS
I just thought you may want to know.. Now I need to add a couple of more nics and see if I can get Openbsd to load so I can make a firewall.. or maybe openNAS or Naslite+ for a Nas server.. Good thing this little guy has 2 usb ports.. and talking about quiet..
