what is it?

Anyone in the know about the power jack on a Neoware eon? It is a keyed circle with 4 "ports".

I know the device takes 12v 5amp, but in what configuration? Opening the case doesn't tell me anything.

Please help!

[Also, if you happen to be in the know, do you have a manual for the Win Net p620 motherboard?]

Is there any other more active msgboard for thin clients?

Hi, I have a neoware, but it's AC, however I have been faced with similar problems as yours in the past and resolved them this way:

with a simple multimeter you can find the pin for the - connection ( set the MM to continuity test ( beep ) and measure which pin is connected to the chassis ),
once you found the ground you only have to find the +12V input and that should be easy since you have only a single voltage supply.
You just try the other 3 pins with the + of a 12V power supply ( - connected to the pin you found earlier ) until the thin client boots

best regards,

derek

mp3car has the power connector in their online store.

I have a couple of e300's and the power/gnd pin configuration is clearly labelled, but smurfing with a DVOM for ground continuity is a no-fail solution if yours in not labelled.
