I recently acquired a termtek Tk-3000 that runs windows CE. I am trying to add a laptop hard drive to this and use it as a music server for my house. The problem is that i cant seem to modify the DOC. I was wondering if i have to maybe set up an FTP from my computer into the box to run it that way? The onboard DOC is 8mb but can be upgraded to 144mb according to the manual i got from their website. Would this be enough to run a thin version of Linux such as DSL off of? IF this is not an option how could i flash this chip to have a normal bios on so i can run the OS off of the laptop hard drive i am installing. I have found power on the board for a fan that is 5v and i believe i can modify a fan connector to power the laptop hard drive (hopefully the fan isn't temperature regulated).

How do i upgrade this DOC with a larger one? where can i purchase said larger doc and install it?

Thanks for all the help
