I tried it ..
but be carefull with bios upgrade....
so far that i know...... new bios locks the multiplier for CPU.. (I forgot)
try to save the original bios first ( I save on the harddrive connected to thinknic IDE , boot from win98 boot CD (I used nero burner S/W to create bootable CD ) . in case..)

The overall for version 2.0 is better... then previous release...
Good Luck

Peace
Pete

Where is a bios upgrade located ?
Or does anyone have a backup from a previous version they wish to share ?
The ThinkNic site has changed recently and the download page at http://www.thenicstore.com/nic/downloads.html doesnt list anything but the new software .iso . Im not considering a CPU upgrade so the issue of multiplier locking isnt a problem at the moment.

Downloaded and burned 2.0 iso - however I seem to have issues with the default links and bookmarks (i.e. email, shopping, google, etc.). ThinkNIC seemed to indicate it is an issue on their end.

I'd be interested in being able to flashback the old bios if possible.

Does anybody have copies of the previous versions on-line somewhere to be downloaded?

I don't think this part of the board is very active anylonger. The Thinknic is fairly easy to access so there isnt a lot of excitement about using it for more than it was intended originally. I really liked mine before the bios failed. It no longer wants to boot and all the voltages from the PWR supply are correct. I think I'm looking at another machine or at the very least another bios IC. :(
Anyone have a suggestion where they might be available for purchase ?
