Re-posting this here since there might be a need for such with fellow hackers other than the GCT bunch like the MSN ones too!
There is a eBay seller who is selling desktop IDE compact flash drives. These drives are an options with the MoveMan MP3 players that this seller sells, I have two of these already and they work great to format and reload your CF card with a different OS using a desktop PC; as it fits in a 3 1/2 drive bay and connects to the computer 40 pin IDE interface. MoveMan wasn't very succesful selling these drives because the CF card is not hot swappable as the standard users prefer to load the CF card and remove it to use in the MP3 player with out shutting down their computer.
The drive does not permit hot swapping the CF card, you must shut down before inserting or removing the CF, the CF is detected in true IDE hard drive mode so there is no need for drivers or higher leval OS support such as the USB drives require. This is true IDE native support drive and it's much easier to format the CF card for other purposes!
The seller apparently has several of these... http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1323384714
(FYI - I have never bought from this seller yet, or know anything about him. But his feedback looks good)
Also this seller also has cheap 128, 256 mb compact flash cards too. I am thinking about getting one of his MoveMan MP3 players that come with a 128mb CF which have been selling for about $105, not a bad deal??
