I've got a "hackable" Compaq IA-1 listed on eBay right now.. I bought two, one for me, and the other for a friend who backed out of paying for it. It's a refurb, but never powered, still in the box Thought maybe one of you guys might like to void her warranty. Also have a Sony Vaio P266Mhz notebook on there that would be perfect for a hack project. 96MB RAM and 4.3GB HDD. I modded the power in jack from Sonys proprietary plug to a standard "coaxial" or "barrel" plug. Running 98 presently. Too many projects and not enough time mean they're up for sale.. to good home only.
