my friend took a look at my GCT and thought it would be cool to make it completely wireless...not only a wireles ethernet, but also a battery pack of some sort...he is convinced he can make some sort of battery that would power the GCT...i have no clue when it comes to batteries and such...anyone think it is possible/desireable?

It would be desireable only if the battery didn't reside in a backpack. hehe. I would love to have this thing to run on batteries. Have him give it a go, who knows what could happen. The less cords, the better!

I like it! No Memory effect! Great for those summer rolling blackouts!
Here, I made it clickable.

Thanks for the link, but the info on the site is really cryptic...
1) It seems that the Notebook adapter only delivers 12v, and that if you need a different voltage you need to use the Nesco adapter (which I already have, so no big deal). Is this correct ?
2) Also by my calculations (not sure about this, my physics courses go back a while...), the GWCP uses a 19v/2.67amps AC adapter, therefore it should run for a minimum of 60/(19*2.67)=1.2 hours with the battery pack, assuming full usage of the available wattage and with no power saving enabled. What's been your experience ?
