Share printers, files, Internet, and more without wires
at 1.6Mbps through floors and walls at the max of 150ft.

Is this worth it for $24.99 each after rebates??

I want to buy 2 (one for laptop and one for GTC) so that
I can surf wirelessly anywhere in the house.

Has anyone tried these Intel Anypoints with the GTC or IOpener?

Please give detail as to speed reliability, etc.

Note that there's a rebate, and I'll guess the rebate is limited to one per customer.

I've played around with similar devices (Webgear, Proxim, etc...)
Not much to say, they generally work well, but actual throughput will be (speed advertised)/2 at best, same thing for 802.11b that's supposedly 11mbps but maxes out at 4mbps in ideal conditions.
Depending on what you want to use them for this might be enough speed for you.
Just thought you'd like to know beforehand !

personally i don't think it is worth it...it is non-standard so you are stuck with just these cards...and it is being dicontinued which is why it is cheap...there would be no way to upgrade and expand...no use in buying something that is already inferior...i say drop some cash and get an 802.11b setup from Just Deals...i just got it and it works great with my laptop and ePods...
