HPNA and gateway, Issues, resolutions? (modified 0 times) GWIZAH Profile | Email Okay well I finally got around to getting my gateway setup and running. Now I seem to have run into a problem getting the phoneline networking to work properly. I installed a diamond 10Mb PCI HPNA card in my NT boxen (which also has Lan onboard connecting to ADSL) and everthing ran fine, however...nothing. Okay I figure this must be because of software. Im using wingate software and I have the NT box setup as a server, and the GCT setup as a client. When I try and connect the two, nada.... so what am I doing wrong? I wouldve gotten the ethernet version awhile back but then gateway told me I could order it, then I couldnt, then I could for $159??? Anyone else used wingate? any suggestions? 07-31-2001 13:00:14

(modified 0 times) ckbone Profile GWIZAH....Take this with a grain of salt, but I have read that the Diamond HPNA cards have some compatability issues with the HPNA standard. My I-Opener HPNA setup uses 3-Com USB adapters, and works perfectly with my main computer which has a Linksys PCI HPNA card. The whole HPNA network in the house has four 3-Com computers and the one Linksys....The microsoft networking software that came with the 3-Com USB setup, doesn't specify host or client for any of them....the whole setup works great.
