Does any Mini PCI Ethernet card work in the GTC?

Seeing as my GTC has the HPNA instead of ethernet card, i've been looking around for a mini pci ethernet card. The only ones I've found for less thatn $100 are on e-bay and are ethernet/modem combo cards (also from gateway). Will these work in the GTC?

My guess is that it would (don't sue me if it doesn't work :~) )

The reaason why I say that is that I sold an ethernet card out of one of my GCT's to a friend I work with and he put it in his IBM ThinkPad, which worked just fine.

There are tree main types of mini-pci cards which are not connection compatible.
The most used however is the mini-pci III card.
