I meet a guy at a computer show here in IL. that has 10 Gateway/AOL Connected Touch Pad's he looking to get $125 each for them. The units are all tested and working. I was thinking about doing a group buy for these devices. He wants $150 if not bought in a block of 5 units or more.... True, they're only $100, but they also don't include the power supply. And, they are untested. $125 for a tested unit including a power cord seems not too bad to me. 'Course, I am kinda new to this so please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm just passing along the info here guys.... I know some people were worried about buying a untested unit. I don't know the guy but got a card from him because I was interested if the price was lower... If ther is interest in a group buy I will pass the info along. my self I'm not sure about buying one for more then around $100-$110 but thats why I have a 3com Audrey that I'm not happy with (can't get it to update over dial-up). I have 2 people that are interested and will pass along the info when I contact the owner today... Would people be more interested in buying from the source or just feel that the price is to much... When I contact him I'll find out if he minds if I post a way to contact him directly...

I'd recommend working to get the names of people and then contacting the seller telling him you have X people interested in Y units at a cost $Z (maybe offer him $110/unit instead). Then, when the price is set, each person would probably be more comfortable paying the seller directly instead of going through a third party.
