I know that barely anyone has the TouchPad yet, however for the ones whose got them..

1) Do you think the screen is sunlight readable?

2) Can the LCD and board be removed the ugly, huge case?

3) Can the LCD be seperated the board (still connected though?

Anyone else planning to do this.

I've been looking this over and been thinking the same thing, loosing the ugly case... I have access at work to various sheet plastics, Sheet fiberglass, High strength resins, Adhesives, Vaccuum molding evacuation tools and a huge oven. Been considering fabbing my own custom case for the i-Opener and now GTC during my lunch breaks for mobile use in my SUV. It won't be anytime soon but it will happen! It will be similar looking to the i-Opener but a bit deeper with room for an internal notebook CD-Rom drive and possible fan for the Crusoe chip. Internal vehicle temps get hot during the summer days and may be a wise idea to provide some internal active cooling and ventilation.

thats cool..ive always wanted to flush a screen into my dash..but building plastic moldings is a little out of my league

you wanna build me one also, j/k..unless its pretty simple (dont think so)..maybe I can make some type of deal with you

or maybe I'll just use wood..and make it look like plastic

right now I have the Neo35 mp3 player (30gigs) but its not as cool (check it out at www.funmp3players.com)

anyway..keep us posted with your progress..
