Has anyone else had problems tracking their units? I tried the 800 number and it tells me its out of service and I will have to call back on a touch tone phone. Well I have one of those, who doesn't. So that didn't work, so I tried the website, neither of my orders went through on the site. I ordered on Thurs of last week, maybe its to early. I dont know. I think I may going to the store to see if I can get a rush on it tomarrow.

My order is not found through the web site either. Have not tried calling them yet.

Here's an excerpt from their site. May explain why it's "not there" depending on when your order was placed. I'm waiting as well. But hey I placed my order tonight.

It's quick and easy. Just enter your 8-digit order number or 10-digit phone number in the field below, and click on the "Submit" button. You will then see whether your order has been received, is in production, or has been shipped. You will also be given an estimated or actual shipping date, depending on the current status of your order. This information is updated daily and is available 24 to 36 hours after an order is placed

I have not been able to track my order from the web. This is after 3 or 4 days so they should have had time to get it into the system.

I have been able to do it over the phone - though not always, sometimes it would tell me it couldn't do it automatically and then hang up. It's never been able to do it automatically, but at least it usually put me through to a human.

The bad news: originally, I was told I'd receive it by 5/11. As of yesterday, that changed to 5/14. It hasn't shipped yet (ok, that was over the weekend).

By the way, does anybody else find it a little funny that they can't give you a real order number at the time you place your order? If you order over the phone, they tell you to call back the next day and give customer service your client id and they will give you the number.

When I try my phone number it tells me that I dont exist. Nothing like what was explaned above. Im going back to the country store now, I will report what I find out.

They gave me an order# number on Friday, although online tracking doesn't work.
I called and they confirmed the shipping date, but I agree, it's a bit fishy. Hope they aren't giong to pull a fast one here !

I emailed my sales rep back and got my order changed for the networking option to include 10/100 ethernet. He actually called me back to confirm the order change and with no increase in costs but the shipping dates changed from the 11th to the 15th.

My order number never worked, I will get a new one, perhaps it will???

I used the "eSales Advisor live chat service" located somewhere on Gateway site (Saturday evening). I did not receive a final order number for the second unit I ordered. Using the temporary number they sent, rep was able to locate it and give me the Final order number and estimated delivery time (11th).

I asked him about my first order. I did receive a final order number via email for that one. He was UNABLE to locate it using my telephone number. I then found the "final order number" and gave it to him and he was able to confirm that one as being in his system with delivery estimate of the 11th. BTW... my tax was $0.30 with shipping charge of $20 each.

Try it out. It is painless and relativly fast. Sorry about not having link.

Ok I went to the local Gateway Country Store and I talked to the Sales Manager and he called around for my numbers, and sure enough, he got both tracking numbers for my 4 units. Even he didn't know why the web page or phone number wasn't working properly. I had to show him on one of their display comps that the site didn't work. But anyway, my units "should" be here by Friday he said. I lied and said they were a present for my father(He DOES need a terminal in the bathroom you know! heh), so he added a Rush Delivery to them for me. Nice Guy.

The Distridution center is located in North Dakota he said.

Im ready for my units!

Mine shipped this morning. I ordered last Thursday 2pm. should arrive Wednesday or Thurs. (3 day ups ground)

YES!!! Mine is on it's way! I was told the 18th originally, and it will be here on this Friday instead. A whole week earlier. Now I gotta get cracking on installing da schtuff on my computer so I can play with it. I guess I need RH 6.2 or earlier installed.
