Yes, it's me again. I've got a "new kid on the block" anxiety attack.
Since Gateway included a nice "printer setup" screen in InstantAOL, and I don't have the devices' manual, (nor I found any reference about this on Gateway.com's web site), I MUST ask...
What printer is reconized and supported by the original instantAOL software?. What printer did Gateway intended to sell to the Touchpad users when they introduced this device about 1 year ago?
Since every inkjet make and model has a different command set, I don't think this device has space for many printing drivers (much less ghostscript)... but since the printer supposedly plugs into the usb port (if you go to Setup->Printer in instant aol you get "no recognized printer" and that makes sense since I don't have ANY usb printer to plug into it :), it has to recognize at least SOME printer.
On the other hand, if this device had a "printer port" (parallel), then it would be a piece of cake for them to support "plain ascii" mode. But they included "printer setup" in InstantAOL, an USB port, and the "n o supported printer" message.
So the $1m dollar question is: WHICH (if any) is the "supported printer" ????????
Any answers for all these questions that are bugging my mind and making my head spin? Am I allucinating?

Thanks VERY much in advance.
Willy
