ok...it's been months since i bought my gateway and haven't really had time to touch it since...now i actually want to do something with it...i attempted the IDE soldering of the header and it seems i didn't get all the pins down
it looks fine other than i am pretty sure i don't have all the pins touching...this soldering goes beyond my skills...anyone out there want to help a brother out? i asked many many moons ago but the time just wasn't right for me...now i think it is...time to get this project finished

What type of header did you use? Most if the headers that I use will move in the black plastic base and allow each pin to move down if you push the pin down with the hot iron.
