I'll put this info on my site, but one thing you HAVE to do if you run WinME and want to access files over a network is MAP the drive. Not sure about other OSs, but I can assure you that you don't want to be exploring a directory on your w2k desktop without doing this. Your WinME system is going to hang like there's no tomorrow !
Mapping won't hurt anyway, regardless of the OS.

I hope it does a "clean" upgrade, i.e. that it lets you install a "fresh" version of WinME. I've never been a big fan of OS upgrades.
Might still work though.

I don't know about ME but all other MS upgrades I've used will install as a new install. Would think can do this with ME also. Others look for a couple of files from previous versions or ask for a CD or Floppys of previous version. Since I haven't even opened ME don't know but probably the same as others."Ah crapola....sorry for the multiple posts..." (Greenspark)

Yeah, its the same. Just put in W98,etc in the drive. What's really funny is Office2K. Buy the upgrade
and when it asks for a prior install/media just point it back at itself.....true comedy...Miracle in a Can

OK.
Any ideas on how to put the disk in the drive when there's no drive.
I'm figuring on connecting a 2.5" drive to my desktop and copying whichever OS cd to that drive then connecting the drive to the GCT to install.
Possible options:
1) go ahead and install on the desktop and reconfigure after moving to GCT.
2) connect a CDROM drive to the GCT - how well does this work?
3) copy both CDs (new and old) to the hard drive.
What do people do?

I would go with 3)
1) is going to produce a messy/uncustomized install.
As for 2), well you could get badflash's dual IDE cable I guess, but it might not be worth it just for that !
