How can I tell if my SODIMM memory upgrade working with only AOL SW installed?
How can I tell if my SODIMM memory upgrade working with only AOL SW installed?

I upgraded my memory using a Centon 128MB SODIMM from Circuit City ($19.99 after rebate).

How can I tell if the memory is working? The touchpad is still running the AOL SW since I don't have an IDE header soldered on yet.

If the AOL SW is running OK (which it is) does that mean the SODIMM I bought is compatible?

Your insight is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Pigseye

if it can boot, then it is working. Usually BIOS will crash the computer if it is not working. Nothing to do with IDE; IDE is hard disk
