I am installing the 2gb harddrive to the Gateway. I can't just format the harddrive with my laptop winME with /s (format c:/s). Can I just install all with ME then plug it in the Gateway? Will it boot up from the Gateway? and I then run all the drivers like touchscreen, Home phone network card....... please let me know, or any other way to format c: with s (format c:/s) with ME. Pleaase, let me know what to do.
I don't run ME, but I have to believe that if format c: /s does not work, you should be able to find the SYS program on the CD somewhere...

I do not think installing ME on another PC, and then moving the drive to the GCT will have good results.
I know that sys does not work in ME. Other ppl have tried it. Look at that MSN Companion Threads. They can tell you how to copy the boot files to your hd with ME.
I would copy all the ME and driver files to the hd. Install everything from the hd.
