Hello,

I was able to get Dos 6.22 bootable on to the hard drive from the laptop (I've not yet install any of the windows files on it), moved the hard drive to the Gateway, it's trying boot, then it displayed three to four red color of trash charactors, the Gateway logo was there on the screen. Please, tell what I did wrong. I also noticed that one pin on the Gateway IDE connecter is cut, more like pin number 27 or so, is this normal, or I have to resolder that pin?

Thanks

Hello,

I got it to work now. I resolder that cut pin 27. It works nicely.

Thanks all.

P.S. I could not get the correct touch screen driver to work still
