Battery based power supply
Battery systems for the GCT

Hello,
I am a newcomer to this forum, and was wondering if anyone here has tried running the GCT straight off of a battery-based power supply.
I'm wanting to use the GCT in a mobile robot as a user interface. The GCT will sit in a recessed cavity on the back of the torso of the 5-ft tall robot i'm building.

I'm thinking about using a 12V 7AH and 6V 5AH battery in series to get ~18V and hope this will power the GCT for a fair amount of time.

I bought the GCT off of ebay from all-as-is, i hope i got a good one :P

Thanks,
Aaron
