SK-7200 Keyboards for $15 each
Alternative Keyboards for the GCT

I was looking at the sk-7100's to get a "real" keyboard with working alt and function keys for the GCT since I use Linux and not windows.

Anyway, all of the 7100's that are out there now are selling for $47+.

However, on pricewatch.com there are a bunch of Siltek sk-7200 IR keyboards selling for only $15. I just ordered two, and will update here to confirm that they work (they should).

They are, unfortnuately, beiege.

Search for 'silitek 7200' on pricewatch if you're looking for these. Took me a minute to find them.

Pay attention if you're ordering one - while these are a full-size keyboard (unlike the GCTP/7100 keyboards) they don't have a trackball.

FWIW, a quick search of yahoo shops found 4 with 7100s in the $29-$30 range.

Continuing this topic... I just ordered a SK-7500 for $30 from http://www.pckeyboard.com/SK-7500.html
The SK-7500 is the Airboard model, I believe.

Alas, the SK-7200 does not seem to work with the GCT. Just got mine today, and it is totally nonreponsive. Looks like I will have to shell out more $$ for the 7100. Can anyone confirm that the 7500 actually works with the GCT?

jclark,

How does mousing action of the SK-7500 compare to that of the SK-7100??

From the photos, it appears that the mouse buttons are on the left and what appears to be a pressure pad is on the right.

The buttons are on the left side, and it lacks the extra "drag" button on the corner that the original keyboard has. I like having the buttons on the left, but I miss the one-handed use the drag button allowed.

It has the same stick as the original.
