Hi,
Anyone have Windows 2000 (W2K) running on these as yet? Failures or successes please reply with some details as to concerns/configurations

Well I thought of going down the W2k, WinXP road when the sluggishness under Win98 was making me "depressed"...
WinME works fine so I'll stick with that unless someone has better success with w2k or XP. I'm slightly concerned that the CPU/Video Chip/Ram combo will have a hard time to keep up. I'd recommend replacing your 32mb SODIMM with a 128mb SODIMM.
I might try, but I've already spent far too much (normal sleeping) time on this project...

This is actually a memory question/request.

Yellow1:

You've mentioned a couple of times about using 128M of ram. Does all 128M show up? This is beyond the limit stated in the Gateway specs.

Also, what ram are you using? Is a 128M SODIMM a 128M SODIMM (i.e., are they all the same)?

Could you start a new thread with the answer. Something like "Memory Expansion on the GCT." I'm thinking that it would be good to have a FAQ-type thread for this, rather than one posed as a question (which is why I'm asking this here instead of starting a new thread).
