I just got a Gateway Touchpad and pulled the card and my sandisk reader only shows 3.02MB in Win XP, trying to load Midori Linux on it but can't drag the image over.

I had the same prob in win2k using an USB writer. I read somewhere here that the ide writers work, so i got an ide one. Then booted linux and used the dd command to get the image on the stock 32 meg cf.
I'm new to linux, so i have no idea how or if you can mount a cf card in an usb reader.
Someone else could please chime in here regarding the usb cf writer.

Got it to kinda work, formatted it with my digital camera as a thought and now it shows 30.5mb, still not 30.7 required for Midori Linux, but its a start.
Another thing, I can't get gemulator explorer to write to my USB CF writer for some reason?? The write features are greyed out and I can't click them.
