I am confused. I got midori to work just fine on the original 32 flash. But my question is about putting a hard drive in. If CF header is 50 pins and the IDC needed to be soldered is a 44 pin, what happens to the remaining 6 pins? Also, it is a IDC header not a IDE header correct? Is the a CF adaptor that will do all this for us?

No, it is an IDE header. Nothing to do with the CF socket. There are two rows of 22 traces each on the mobo where the 44-pin IDE can be soldered on.
