IDE HD Help...
I can't make the GCT boot off my CF with a drive connected

Hey all,
Been really busy lately and haven't messed with the GCT too much. Got my header soldered on the board and that seems to work. The problem I'm having is that the GCT no longer sees the CF reader. I would like to load my image off the CF and just use the drive as read only mp3 storage. If the drive is bootable the GCT will boot off the HD, otherwise I get machine garbage at the Gateway Screen. There is a possibility that my drive is not working in Cable Select mode, the HD is always master (hda) when a kernel boots. During boot there is no mention of the CF reader, making me wonder if it is not being seen because the drive is master. Setting the drive to slave or CS(if this does anything) doesn't seem to help. Any ideas?

Oh yeah and I now have a pretty good mp3 player image.

You cannot use both the cf card and a hd. It wont work. Either one or the other, unless you can jumper somewhere on the cf reader somewheres around that spot to make it slave off the cf card. BigDog tried it once I think but it wouldnt work rite for him
