Newbie seeking a 'Using Midori HowTo'

First, does anyone know how to ask chaezewiz's midori image to recalibrate the touchscreen?

I got NFS to map on /usr/src, but I'm a real Linux illiterate and don't know what to do next. From past experience and the reading I've done so far, it seems like running programs involves first ./configure and 'make'. However, whenever I try to ./configure, it says:

sh: ./configure: No such file or directory

So what does it take to make this thing configure? I'd like to put Keystone http://slappy.cs.uiuc.edu/fall02/team3/index.html on it, which requires QT http://www.trolltech.com/download/qt/x11.html to compile. Something requires gtk+ and glib, and gcc is probably important also. Oh, and it won't let me 'mkdir' in my NFS share. What could that be?

Thanks in advance for the advice,
--Ed
