Midori image writing problem
Invalid compressed format

Noticed a few people had problems writing Lee's Midori image to CF but haven't found anyone mention the problem I am having.
Have a USB CF reader/writer on Win2K. 32Mb CF card (just using original supplied). Used diskprobe to write image (gemxplorer didn't work for me) and it seems to write OK. Used Phoenix image version.
At bootup get message:
Uncompressing Linux...
Invalid compressed format (err=1)

Opera image gives a different error - something about wrong mode sent.

My question is - should I assume this is still an image writing problem? Any clues or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

As is often the case, just after you post you have a new idea. Tried W98 (was using Win2K prior) with gemxplorer - saw the USB CF reader but locked up trying to access it

After more searching found a utility that would write the image directly to the USB CF card under Win2K.

Hope that helps someone else.

Cheers
