|OK, I give up! I have tried for a week to make a bootable DOS flash disk for my GCT so I can install windoze. I have tried a 64MB sandisk and a 340MB microdrive. I am using a USB memory card reader (I do not have access to a IDE flash card drive) and tried to format and sys both cards in win98 SE running under VMware. I tried ranish, diskprobe, partition magic, etc. to make the damn thing bootable but I invariably get the "invalid system disk - press any key" or some other "non system disk" nastygram. I know the hardware is good because I can "DD" linux build images onto these disks and boot from them. Unfortunately, I can't find a WORKING linux flash image that supports my USB network adapter (needs the kaweth.o module) and I don't know enough about linux to roll my own.|
If anyone has an image file of a DOS boot flash I'd be eternally grateful, or maybe someone can tell me what the secret is?
