Has anyone tried Pebble Linux? Pebble Linux is a small Debian-based distro that is designed for embedded devices. It's biggest advantage is that it mounts read-only. You don't have to worry as much about wearing down the compact flash. Also you get the full Debian "apt-get" functionality allowing you to easily add additional software.
I'm going to give it a try as soon as my ide->CF adapter arrives. I'll post my results.
