To my understanding, the Gateway Connected Touch Pad comes standard with 64mb of SODIMM Memory. Although the unit works great for retrieving my AOL e-mail, I am dissapointed in it's web surfing speed. Would increasing the SODIMM memory to 128 or 256mb improve the performance of the unit with regards to web surfing speed?
Would it help when using the built-in software from Gateway/AOL? I don't know. It does help when using Windows 98 if you've hacked your unit to run that OS. It would likewise help a machine hacked to run the Midori Linux.
