Unable to install win98 on CF card (modified 0 times) Tlex Profile Ok... I scroll all the threads, and I still don't find whats my issue... Got a GCT unkacked Got a 512Mb Sandisk CFCard Made a Fat16 partition on it and put system files on it Copy the win98 install dir on the cfcard GCT boot in dos mode Start the win98 installation with /ie to avoid floppy creation Win98 installation complete when I reboot the unit, always get stuck at the Gateway logo... I tried to make partition with part244, Boot flag is set I tried the same with w2k i386 folder, dos part of the installation pass but when it reboot same problem, stuck at the gateway logo.... Tried to find a step by step procedure, but couldn't ... maybe it's getting to old ? Any help would be very appreciated Thanks 02-18-2005 12:03:16

RE:Unable to install win98 on CF card (modified 0 times) Tlex Profile Forgot to say... I also tried to install win98 on another machine and then copy the "windows" directory on the cfcard. Still got stuck at the gateway logo, but if after that I reput system files on the cfcard, I was able to got in dos mode, then when I try to start windows "win" it get stuck at VFAT blabla bluescreen... 02-18-2005 12:07:10

I have only had success booting a SANDisk CF Card, others may work, but not in my experience. 03-12-2005 09:09:12
