OK, check this news report from last June out.

I can't really think they actually MADE that many.. but there has to be a large number on a shelf somewhere...

Phew... Gateway and AOL really went for broke on this little machine....

Makes sense why they eliminated the ide header, Just think of the cost cutting savings of that part alone times 1,000,000

Leaving off parts makes sense.
Ever making 1,000,000 of these things doesn't.

I have no idea how many Gateway has sold, but unless they've really been selling a lot lately, I doubt they stockpile many in the US.

This last week certainly makes it look like they dropship on demand from Taiwan.
