I was recently able to strip down xp pro and compress the partition enough so that it fits just barely on my 512mb CF card. However, when I copy the partition over to my CF card and try to boot the GCT with it, I get a blue screen with a stop error code of 0x7B.
My guess is it's detecting the different hardware. Does anyone know of a way to get around this so I can boot the OS?

It looks like your gct is using a 512mb flash card ok; if it didn't boot it wouldn't actually bluescreen right?
My gct just sits w/o a boot device on the gateway splash screen.
Who makes your cf card if you wouldn't mind telling me?
If i recall correctly switching the hardware around behind windows's back seems to result in stuff like bluescreens alot. So, good luck getting that to work. I suggest working on that xp image a few posts below...
