So just before I copy over the 98se disk to my newly formatted drive, should I or do I need to find a copy of ME? My understanding is that 98se is just fine (as far as windows goes). Or will I see a MUCH better performance increase with ME? Need some help on this one!!Vagitizer

from what i understand it has to do with the transmeta chip...the chip operates better in WinME than any version of Win9x...someone else can probably explain this better than me

Appreciate the comment. But does anyone have any REAL numbers regarding performance between 98 and ME. I've searched and read alot of the 'I think'. Hell, I don't even know where to get a copy of ME ( I mean a licensed product ;) ). Might as well go the 98 route, and test. If I do get a copy of ME I will post the results. Now the wait for the IDE header. Looks like a long 3-4 day wait!Vagitizer

Ok I have 98se and its working very nicely. Stable too ;) I copied both versions on the drive, But at the moment Im content with 98. But these were test OS's, as with my IOp, and WebPlayer, this shall have FreeBSD shortly! Thanks guys!* WordsmitH
