(modified 0 times) LD37 Profile wow...that guy was kind of an ass...i mean, obviously you were messing with him a little but he was being a jerk and avoiding your question...i have had this experience with gateway when i was asking legit questions...like when i placed my original order the lady said she had to do it the next morning because of a computer problem...so i chat with gateway the next night to see if it has gone through...the first thing they said was check back in 48 hours...so i went back and forth about how ridiculous it was that they couldn't even tell me if i had purchased anything so in a couple days i get online with them again and the guy says try back in 24 hours...i said i already waited 48 hours...i only wanted to know if the order was completed successfully, he said he could not look up the information...and so it went for a couple of days...finally i got a guy who gave me a tracking #...now i have to deal with UPS crap and getting it delieverd with a signature (shoulda had it delievered to work) i can tell you of the wonderful experinces i had with gateway way back in 1995, but their service has gone to crap...they are not going to be around much longer...i would bet on it 05-17-2001 16:08:43

I haven't received any email on that one except for the initial email with temp call number. It was the first order. Maybe tomorrow will tell. BUT on my first two orders at the $199 price I never received a confirmation email giving me the official order number and a rep name for the first one I ordered. I've had the second one for a week and finally today, after many phone calls, was given a tracking number. It is another drop ship from Tiawan of about 30 units. They caught it. Next I tried LD37's method of getting options for the GCT itself so it's positive. I think it was $28 + $60 shipping + $tax, about $98 still not a bad deal (added mouse and speakers and warranty I think). There are no negative numbers on that invoice.
