PCI SLOT
PCI slot working

Well, it seems that everything needed for the PCI slot is in place, except for the slot itself. I have solder on a PCI slot and was able to get a 10/100 card working in it just fine. There is one thing about it though, the back plate of the case is too close to the slot so you can't use a PCI card in there unless you remove the back plate. I have seen cards that don't stick out so far, so those may be a better choice, although I have never seen a NIC like that.

KniteOwl,

Good news. That's been on my list, but I've not touched my box in more than a month.... so much going on.

Where'd you get the PCI card edge connector?

haven't had much time to work on this either. I got the PCI slot from a dead motherboard. had a bunch of them lying around.
