"Here we [something] not large collection [something] ftp-servers, [something] system QNX..." It's a list of ftp sites with QNX. My Russian is very rusty and computer-terms-challenged. There are little clues, though: ftp, warez, QNX...

"Here you will find the small collection of links to ftp servers containing QNX. All of this links were verified by me -- there's really software available and anonymous access is permitted. I'm trying to maintain my links list current -- come back as it will be updated. But everything in the world changes and sometimes very quickly... If you can't find the server from the directory specified here, try to enter the root directory and look around --it may be that what you're looking for has been moved to a different place. In any case, if anything is not OK -- WRITE ME!"

Get an FTP client and start checking the links. I'm on a WebPlayer now, and don't know what link I use. But I picked up QNX v2.5 (6.5 megs) that raw writes a boot disk and four installation disks. The v2.3 is 18 megs in size and has a lot of development additions.

Installation steps (for DOS users, linux users are usually smart enough
not to need them):

Unpack qnx424.diskset.tar.F using freeze and tar.
You can get DOS version of them at:
ftp://ftp.demon.net/pub/ibmpc/dos/apps/snews.uucp/exe/freeze.exe
ftp://ftp.uni-rostock.de/Dos/Simtel/arcers/tar.zip
Unpacked files boot_disk, disk1, ... disk4 are disk images,
you can use DiskEditor from NU or dcopy or many other programs to
write them to floppies. You'll also need license disk,
disk image of which (lcns.dsk) is included.
To install QNX you should boot from bootdisk and do install. After prompt:
Installing a QNX license on the hard disk.
Insert 'Operating System Install Disk 1' in the floppy drive.
You should insert license disks, then it will ask for Install Disk 1,
and you insert disks 1,2,3,4.
After that you can boot QNX (login as root).
Now you need to move other files in QNX. You can mount your FAT partition
(Dosfsys -s &) and install packages you want, ex:
cd /
install -u /tmp/phrt1.12.tar.F
Now you make licenses for installed packages:
vedit /.licenses
qnx.00000002-0020-0af2-913b-70o8-1142 (2 Node)
wcc.00000002-0406-2901-o171-5827-0f99 (2 Node)
wpp.00000002-0402-77o9-f820-1107-7676 (2 Node)
phrt.00000002-0020-o720-5902-95fd-91f0 (2 Node)
phab.00000002-086f-5a1o-8706-2234-0645 (2 Node)
tcprt.00000002-0772-12o6-d4a0-9004-4816 (2 Node)
tcptk.00000002-0020-o703-7813-879e-14d0 (2 Node)
ditto.00000002-025d-22ao-0f05-f222-0835 (2 Node)
Save the file, reboot and enjoy the best operating system ever!
Licenses are valid till the end of 1997...

One of the files that wasnt mentioned was called EKit.tar.F, i believe
that to be embedded applications toolkit. But dont take my word for it,
untar it and take a look! - TimeCop
