I hope their are alot of us out there, the people who hack these things and use them for mobile use in our cars etc... for these ppl , I think if we have enough , we should make a new category for conversing just about mobility and mounting issues, techniques, hardware, etc....This is all depending on how many ppl replie to this thread. If there are enough ppl maybe codeman will give a mobile category or somethin to that effect so we dont bore all the people in the other i-appliance categories with our ?'s and "weird ideas" ....Let me kno what you think

I think we need to leave the messages categorized by hardware type rather than by end-user function. I tend to learn a lot from people who are doing things with their chosen hacked appliance that are different from what I might do with my own; regardless the issues tend to be similar. So, for example, if someone is talking about the best way to extract external audio from an i-opener for their car, I might find something there that is relevant to extracting audio on the desktop. As for your comment that you might "bore all the people in the other i-appliance categories with our ?'s and 'weird ideas'," don't worry, that hasn't hasn't happened so far. In fact, quite the opposite takes place.
