I went to my local Office Depot yesterday and noticed they had the LINKSYS USB/Ethernet converter on clearance for $19.99. I picked up two.

These work great on both the Webplayer and Iopener.

Get them while you can!

Note, it is the 100BaseTX model, not the 10BT that people have been having the good luck with. Some folks had trouble with 10 Mbs USB NICs a while ago. Don't know if that problem has now been solved. Maybe these problems have been limited to Linux, though.

I got the last on in Issaquah (outside Seattle), but I have a question. The documentation says it cannot be directly connected to another lan card. Does this mean it cannot be used with a crossover cable for a direct connection? I don't use hubs :)

I've emailed Linksys support for an answer, but have no response yet.
