Greetings all - I've been following this group the last few weeks in preparation for hacking my Iopener V5 (I'm a hacker virgin). I have everything I need except am waiting for my IMod3 kit. I saw the posts about the Office Depot clearance items on the GPS, Power Adaptors and the wireless USB adaptors.
My wife works for O.D. so I get an extra 10% off (plus I can use the coupons). I spent a couple of hours today going around to a couple of the stores and snagged what I needed plus picked up about 4 or 5 extra of each for anyone here still wanting these. I figure if no one wants them, I can always peddle them on Ebay for what I paid for them.
If you're interested in these, you can have them for my cost plus shipping. Here's the catch... you have to give me some "hand holding" in me trying to get a couple of these up and running. I'm not much into trying to heavy hacking myself, but can usually assemble and follow instructions. I haven't quite figured out how to add another serial port yet (but I do have my 2 free Maximum chips) or how to power the GPS AND run my mouse. But I'm still thinking about it.
If you are interested in any of the stuff I have, and will be willing to answer some of my newbie questions, then drop me a note. First come, first served.
If anyone really wants to pick up about 10 or more of the GPS units, I know of a couple of stores that still have them. I can get them for around $35 each.
BTW - you can go into any O.D. store with the SKU and ask them to look up inventory. They can check ALL the stores in your state and tell you who has them and how much.
