I have looked at this unit with curiosity for several months,
but I can't seem to find any real programs for it, and not
much information on it..

I have one that I bought off one of the designers for $75. It's kind of cool I wish it was easier to hack though it's a pain to change the os but it has a great speaker phone and address book. I just wish I could get it on network.
